How to download a TikTok Story
- Open the creator's profile in the TikTok app while an active Story ring is visible. Tap the ring to view the Story, then tap the share icon and choose Copy link. On desktop, right-click the Story on the creator's profile page and copy the link.

Will the creator know I saved their Story?
No. TikTok's Story view counter increments when you tap a Story in the app while logged in. TokVido doesn't view Stories through your account — it fetches the public media file directly from TikTok's CDN. From the creator's perspective there's no distinction between "TokVido downloaded my Story" and "nothing happened". Your download activity is anonymous and never shared with the source account.
Beating the 24-hour timer
The main reason to use a Story downloader is preservation. TikTok deletes the media at the 24-hour mark; after that, no service on earth can recover it because the file no longer exists on the CDN. Can I download Stories from private accounts?
